Noting that there are significant numbers of technological industries in the areas of Oklahoma City, Norman, Stillwater, Tulsa, Edmond, Ardmore, and Lawton, groups such as the Center of Excellence at OSU-Tulsa are working to move Oklahoma's position in information technology forward, especially in the areas of telecommunications, information technology, and software/hardware development.
