The small coastal state of Delaware has a rich history. Claimed as a colony by Sweden, Holland and England at different times, in 1787 Delaware became the first state to ratify the new United States Constitution. Beginning in 1831 with the introduction of the first regularly-operated steam railroad, the state has been a leader in farming and industry. It also has a unique set of corporate laws, making it the number one headquarters for many of the nation's corporations.

Delaware offers many careers available for those with training in information technology and computer science, from networking support to website development to databasing.
