Our mission: Provide prospective graduate and undergraduate computer/IT students with fast access
to computer/IT schools and programs through a directory which allows for searching and comparing based on
each users unique wants and needs.
Additionally, we strive to provide a super library of reference material to give students a path from
their idea of getting a computer/IT education to their first job in the field.
We are committed to giving our users real advantages. Our main benefits are:
- It's the Fastest & Easiest
way to access computer schools and programs.
- Focus
- Computer Schools & Programs. Period. Search by many different computer/IT specialties, from A+ to XML? Serious computer/IT students use our directory instead of a more generic school directory.
- More Choices, More Points of View
- We don't limit visitors by only displaying our own content. Searchess, our search dog, sniffs the web and fetches the best computer school related content from all over the Internet for your review. Isn't this better than getting proprietary content from just one source?
- Few Distractions
- Who really wants Big Banner Advertising?
- Easy to Remember
and Intuitive Web Address. In fact, the default on most browsers is WWW and .com - so in many cases just typing ComputerSchools will get you here.
- International Appeal
- An international student body is a big plus. Our directory is accessible 24/7 anywhere in the world.
- Current Information from the Source
- Isn't trying to keep the same information in 2 places (our directory & the school's web site) inefficient and redundant? Instead ComputerSchools.com quickly and directly links you to each institution's web site rather than being directed through endless pages on our site to get to the direct link.
- ComputerSchools.com is a service of Education.org
, with member directories that include: ArtSchools.com, BusinessSchools.com, CookingSchools.com and MedicalSchools.com. Smart students often consider many types of education and can cross link within a familiar format.
Our Editorial Department is Committed to Journalistic Integrity
Readers clearly want unbiased reporting and full disclosure of paid advertising. As part of our service to education providers, we offer sponsorship advertising. At the same time, our editorial department is committed to a strict policy of editorial neutrality. We strive toward a level of journalistic integrity on par with that of the most respected publications including The Wall Street Journal.
Effective, March 27, 2001, we will disclose relationships whenever relevant, specifically in any article or interview in which one of our sponsorship advertisers, partners or affiliates is a primary subject. Ordinary advertising relationships do not require disclosure and can be easily identified by users of the site. We will also post a list of our investor partners but as of now, our site is self funded by our management and editorial team.
About Our Affiliations and Ownership
The education providers in our directory want a computer education community site that is fair and trustworthy.
There are NO schools or other education providers (within or outside of our directories)
which have an ownership stake or affiliation with ComputerSchools.com.
ComputerSchools.com is a large directory of education providers, many of whom talk with us about
how to increase the reach of their offerings. While we can help by sharing our knowledge of
general and aggregate facts and trends, we are committed to providing all education providers
with a trusted dialog that takes into account privacy issues.
